How to take care of your oily skin
Some people are lucky to have a skin type that does not need so many regimens. All they have to do is to wash their face and they would instantly look great. However, there are also some who have an oily skin. You will know if you have an oily skin if the T-zone in your face (forehead and nose) is always greasy even if you are no sweating that much. If you have this type of skin, you need a skin care routine that would lessen the grease in your face.
An oily skin is a result of an active sebaceous glands. But having an oily skin doesn’t have to be a curse. Keep in mind that an oily skin has its advantage too. You will have a slower skin aging, lesser wrinkles and fine lines by the time you are 30 or 40. You just need a proper regime so you may avoid acne, large pores, and of course a greasy appearance.
Make sure that you wash your face with a soap that is meant for oily skins at least two to three times everyday. Don’t use facial cleansers or soaps that have extra moisturisers. While washing your face, use your index finger and middle finger to massage your face. Don’t use hot water as it would just open your pores. Cold water on the other hand, will not be an effective medium in taking out the oil that is present in the surface of your skin. A tepid water would be an excellent choice when you wash your oily face.
After you clean your skin, it is recommended that you use an astringent or a toner afterwards. These products would let you tighten as well as strengthen your skin. You may also apply moisturiser after you use the toner that is right for you. Look for moisturisers that are oil-free and lipid-free. This would only add more shine to your face.
