How to properly apply a foundation
Before you can create a well-blended make up, it is necessary that you properly apply your base first. If your first step in applying make up is not done properly, you have a great chance to ruin the whole combination and this is something that you don’t want to happen. Your make up base or foundation would directly affect your appearance whether you will have a cakey make up, an oily face, or a make up that looks good and natural on you. Here are some of the tips that would help you apply the make up base properly.
Don’t just think about your face apply foundation in your neck as well. If you only put the make up base in your face alone, the result could be pretty much awkward. There must be an equal amount in your face and in your neck as well. Place ample amount of foundation that you must use in your palm if you are using a cream or liquid make up base. Afterwards, make small dots all over your face as well as your neck. Use your finger tips and create circular motions to perfectly blend it to your skin. Make sure that you start blending from the upper area of your face before you go down to the neck.
If in case you are not used to blend it using your fingertips, do not hesitate to use a small sponge instead. For those who are using powdered foundation, make sure that the sponge you are using is free from debris or chunks of powder accumulated when you last used your make up base. This is to ensure that no bits of powder will be included when blending the make up in your skin. When you are done applying the make up base, you can use a dry tissue to doff the excess or extra make up so that you can assure a smooth and natural-looking result. Simply damp the dry tissue in your face so that the excess make up will stick to your tissue.
You may now apply all the other make up including the eye shadow, lipstick, concealer, and others. When you are done, do not forget to damp small amount of compact powder so that you can have a shine-free face. Your powdered make up base would also help in keeping that lipstick longer. Just apply a small amount on your lips before you start putting on your lipstick. A compact powder would do the trick too.
After foundation application one can use the other make up products as eye make up and lip make up and finish it off with the compact powder. One can put a little foundation on the lips too before applying the lip color. It keeps the lipstick stay for longer. So foundation when applied properly can give you a perfect look and make your skin look smoother, even and beautiful.
