How to look stunning while you are pregnant
The beauty products that you will use in your face and in your body will not only depend on your skin type. You must also consider your age and your health condition as well. One example is when you are pregnant you can’t use just any kind of beauty products. But that does not mean that you have to bear the breakouts, the melasma, and all the beauty dilemmas for nine long months. You can still look stunningly beautiful and have a blooming face during the whole journey of your pregnancy.
Although you would definitely feel lethargic at all times, you must still have the time to wash your face everyday. However, because of your pregnancy, you must first determine your new skin type. Skin experts said that the safest soap for the pregnant women is the soap that has glycerine as its primary ingredient. On the other hand, if your skin becomes oily during your pregnancy, you should use a soap that is mild and moisturising at the same time.
One of the major skin problems during the course of pregnancy is melasma. Although this would fade after your pregnancy, you still don’t want to have patches in your skin especially in your face, do you? This is common among pregnant women but it can be prevented and treated. Use sunscreen protections that have SPF 15 or higher. You also may also use creams that have Hydroquinone or Tretinoin if you already have a melasma. However, don’t use creams or any kind of beauty products that have retinoids in it. Experts said that a high-dose of retinoid may affect the unborn child.
The skin of a pregnant woman is also prone to acne, blackheads, and other breakouts. This is because you are experiencing changes in your hormones. This is not the right time to go on facial centres and have a laser session to get rid of those nasty acnes. There are topical creams that you could apply. Make sure that you look for the ingredients such as AHA or Alpha Hydroxy Acid, glycolic acid or witch hazel. You can also buy creams with erythromycin as long as you have the prescription from your doctor.
If you have to attend to a special occasion or simply needs make up as you work while you are pregnant, just use the philosophy of “less is more.” Too much make up can easily clog your pores and may result to acne.
