How to hydrate the skin on winter
There are so many harsh environmental factors that would make your skin dry including the wind and the weather condition. Because of this, it is essential that you use skin hydrating masks to protect your skin from drying. Although you drink water or juice to hydrate your skin from the inside, you must still put something that would hydrate the outer layer as well. You might want to try these facial masks that you can create on your own and avoid the chemicals from commercial skin care products that are out in the market.
Did you know that one of the worst enemies of a flawless skin is dry air? And this kind of air may be experienced during winter. And just like picking the right kind of clothes every time the season change, you must know how to take care of your skin during winter. Below are some of the skin hydrating masks techniques that you can use when autumn is finally over.
Hydrate your skin by drinking eight or even twelve glasses of water each and every day. You may also have fresh juice so that you may bring out the radiance of your skin from the inside. This is essential during the winter since the air humidity in this season decreases. If your skin is not hydrated, it may worsen the signs of skin aging.
Although winter is a great time simply relax, sleep, and forget about bathe, it is still necessary to take a bathe no matter how lazy you are because of the cold temperature. You can get a warm shower or soak yourself in a hot tub. However, it is not advisable to bathe for more than 10 minutes especially if it is a hot bathe. Natural oils in your body will be stripped off if you would soak your skin in warm water for a long time. Aside from that, you must also remember that when you bathe, mild products must be used. Your face needs a mild facial cleanser. Use a body wash for the rest of your skin. It is recommended that you avoid soap products during winter especially if you have a dry or sensitive skin. Look for the skin care products that have moisturisers so that your skin will be hydrated even if you are exposed to dry air outside.
But your bathing products are not the only ones that matter during winter. You must also consider the products that you will use after your bathe. Use creams for your face and lotions for your body after that warm shower. While doing so, you must massage it so that the moisturising products will penetrate deeply into your skin. Creams and lotions that are oil-based are the must-haves during the winter whereas light lotions are commonly used during the summer.
And to maintain that supple skin, don’t forget to moisturise and hydrate your skin at least two times a day during this season. The cream that you used after you took that bathe can also be used before you hit the bed.
